What to do

Includes two nights of accommodation (weekend) along with three energy-related activities: - 2-hour tour of the surrounding landscapes to discuss how the facilities to produce energy have transformed them (from the lignite mines created during the first half of the 20th century to the wind turbines installed in 2010). - Visit to the Vicenta Mine (1.5 hours long) where it is explained how lignite was extracted, how it was marketed and the impact it had on generating employment and wealth during the first half of the 20th century. - Visit to the nearest wind turbines* (2 hours long) to explain the advantages of renewable energies to combat climate change, preserve the planet, limit the impact on the landscape and improve the health of the environment.
